Hana qualified from the University of Veterinary Medicine and Pharmacy in Kosice, Slovakia in 2012. After graduation, she worked a few years in Slovakia before volunteering in a small animal rescue centre in Koh Lanta in Thailand.
In order to advance her career, Hana moved to the UK and attended an emergency training program. After a few years working in emergency, first opinion and charity fields, Hana made the move to Referrals. She completed a small animal surgical internship in a busy surgical referral centre in Leeds, that sparked her interest in veterinary neurosurgery and neurology. This was followed by a rotating internship in a multidisciplinary referral practice. Hana joined the Dovecote team in 2023 and started her residency in Veterinary Neurology/Neurosurgery. She is thrilled to have this opportunity to work in a well-established, experienced Neurology centre.

In her free time, Hana enjoys reading, travelling around the world and hiking. She has already fulfilled many of her travelling dreams and there are more to come.

  • I work as a registered vet nurse and had to come to Dovecote with my dog Alfie. I was squeezed in and was seen promptly by Sergio right after a long operation. He was so kind to Alfie and explained everything to my mom (who is not vet trained) and did Alfie’s MRI there and then even though it was going to make it a late finish. Unfortunately we had to make the call to put my lovely boy to sleep and Sergio and the nurses were really kind and helpful. I received your lovely card today and want to thank you all for your help and seeing him so quickly. I will be forever grateful.
