Dovecote Veterinary Hospital is offering a free nurse based CPD lecture with Laura Tobin RVN BSc(Hons) VTS anaesthesia/analgesia. The event is free, with buffet and refreshments included.

Advanced anaesthesia techniques

How to safely carry out more advanced anaesthesia techniques. This lecture will cover intermittent positive pressure ventilation using a mechanical ventilator, arterial cannula placement and how to use it for blood pressure monitoring, placement of central venous catheters and more.

Patient specific anaesthesia

How to provide anaesthesia for specific disease processes and what to expect. Cases will include paediatric, geriatric, renal disease, hyperthyrodism.

  • Pizza from 7pm with talk starting at 7.30pm.
  • CPD certificates will be issued to all attendees for 2 hours CPD.
  • This talk is aimed at nurses, but everyone is welcome to attend.
