Farewell to Andrew and Alison Robinson
7th August 2018
On Friday 20th July, the staff and clients at Dovecote Veterinary Hospital said a fond farewell to Andrew and Alison Robinson as they retired from clinical practice.
Andrew has worked in veterinary practice and served the local community for over 40 years. In 2002, Alison left a successful career in the industry to join him in opening up Dovecote Veterinary Hospital. Under their leadership Dovecote has grown into the thriving hospital it is today.
Andrew and Alison said they were excited to be starting on a new adventure together although they felt ‘conflicted’. In a statement, they wrote: “A big thank you to all the staff at Dovecote, and to our lovely first opinion clients for making our last day at Dovecote so memorable. We have enjoyed being part of the Castle Donington community and the University of Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science. Thanks also to all of our referring vets and their clients, for their trust and loyalty.
“Working with such a fantastic team of support staff, nurses and vets over the years has been an immense privilege and we will miss you all. We know that with Paula and Mark at the helm we are leaving the business in good hands, and that Dovecote will continue to offer the highest level of care and service to all.”
They will be greatly missed, but we wish them all the very best for a long and happy retirement.
